Clients were impressed with the thousands and thousands of geese that winter here. We are located in the central flyway, plus having Cheyenne Bottoms and Quivira Wild Life areas, helps draw the birds. With the wheat and corn fields for the geese to feed on, it gives my clients exceptional opportunity to harvest their limit of birds.
Duck hunting was slower this year. Almost all the water holes were dry. Normally we have sufficient rain fall in early fall to fill up the water holes, especially in Milo fields. mallards flock in under these conditions by the thousands which give a sportsman a good chance to harvest his limit.
